People Action Trust (PAT), an NGO founded by a few service minded friends over 28 years ago, has been engaged in various welfare projects for the betterment of malnourished children, ignorant destitute women often on the throes of despair and dejection, and for extending a helping hand to the helpless elders and addicts belonging to Krishnagiri and Tirupathur District recently bifurcated from Vellore District.
Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts
The hard-living conditions and financial worries often drive most of them to seek refuge in drinks – which offers a temporary relief which is illusory, but which eventually takes a toll on their health
Drug Awareness Programme
Under the support of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, PAT undertaken Prevention work. We thought widely to spread the awareness among the target groups to reach large level addicts.
Senior Citizens Programme
Due to migration of workers to the nearby towns and cities, there are several houses in Krishnagiri and surrounding villages which have one or two old men and women, who are helpless, and have to fend for themselves.
